Just a cute story with a cute picture

Amelia did about the cutest thing ever today. After her trip to the doctor where we learned she has an ear infection and congested sounding lungs, and then after our trip to the pharmacy where Mommy bought the place out, we went out to lunch with Daddy as a reward. When we got there her mac & cheese was waiting for her thanks to Daddy's early arrival. We asked the waitress for some milk for Amelia and when the waitress brought it and put it in front of her, Amelia said, "Thank you!" with such genuine enthusiasm. It was too cute.

As for her health status, she is actually not acting that sick and is so-far taking a great afternoon nap. We can hear her snoring over the baby monitor...

Amelia's Sick Day

Today...

Amelia took a sick day. In this video she seems good but there were about 6 hours of whining and no nap today.

Hello from Amelia

Hello from the Trampoline.

We Love Carol Horton!!

Don't Stop Taking Pictures of Me!!!!!

Sunglasses from Aunt Becky!
Trampoline love...
I have a diaper on--I'm just wearing it low like teenagers do.

This post goes out to our friend Carol. She has had a tough couple of months, to say the least, and we want her to know that we are thinking of her. Hi also to Jim, Katie, and Caroline. Hope Christmas in California is fun. I prefer darkness and freezing rain--but to each his own...

Love from the Crumrines!
Amelia got a trampoline today from Santa - she is so excited about it that she starts coughing and breathing hard and we have to force her to stop :)

She has figured out how to swing from the bar - maybe she'll be an Olympian someday and pay off all our debts to society....

Until then, enjoy this video!

Christmas Morning, Part I

Christmas Morning. Amelia didn't know quite what to expect but she sure was excited when she came downstairs and saw all the presents.

An Anachronistic Blog

Thanksgiving pictures at Christmas? That's right. Santa came early delivering a new card reader and battery for our camera. I (strike that, Santa) stood in a line of 30 people at Best Buy with Amelia in tow. The nice people in front and back of me kindly let me re-enter the line each time I had to go off and catch Amelia. She doesn't run away on purpose yet but she sure does wander.

Never shy in giving directions. Amelia directs Sasha where to put the tracks.
Amelia and Sarah. Notice Amelia holding onto Thomas the Tank Engine. This was never far from her site.

Anna and Olya were very nice to Amelia during our visit. We were also very excited to see Olya!!
Vanya helping Amelia with some building blocks. When this was taken we had just gone to our first parent conference. On the form there was a check box for "can stack blocks." It was not checked off so we made sure to take lots of pictures and videos of her stacking. We plan to go through a formal appeal process to get Amelia's report card changed. Many colleges now are asking for first report cards so we want to make sure that Amelia's is good. We will go to the Supreme Court if necessary.

Vanya videotaped the entire weekend and stayed up all night Saturday making a tape of all of us. It was hilarious. I just wonder about all the video on the cutting room floor. When will that come back to haunt me?

Amelia sleeping. It is a a little hard to tell but in this one she mounded up all of her blankets and Ookies and then laid down on top.
The old picturers do not stop at Thanksgiving. Here is Amelia in her ladybug costume on Halloween.

A little iced cream with Grammie.

Looking around to make sure Yoda isn't coming to steal her food.
Here is Amelia eating a munchkin from Dunkin Donuts. We don't take her there often but she still knows what the store looks like and calls out "doany, doany" (her word for donut) every time we drive by a store. For those of you not from New England--there are Dunkin Donuts spaced about 3 miles apart on every road in the region--so she calls out a lot.

More Thanksgiving. Vanya was not limited to video art. He also took lots of pictures too.

Four generations of Perkins women. And Champ.

Olya and Sergei play with Amelia at the local bar. (That's right we are not afraid to take our own baby and several underage children to the local dive bar.)

Becky and Sergei--very serious.

Amelia set this all up herself. She puts her Ookie in the backpack, straps it in, then waddles around with the back pack. If you try and help she screams.
Tomorrow--back to the present--Christmas pictures.

A couple of you passed my test. Yes, I uploaded some random pictures and 2 of you noticed. Justin and Alli--give yourselves 3 stars each.

I have been lagging on the blog, not because of lack of will, but because of lack of battery. Our Olympus Stylus 850 SW is very cool but it came with a terrible battery. It wore out about 4 months after we had it. It also has a charger that connects with 2 pieces that come apart easily. If you loose one you can't charge the battery. I have heard that someone might be getting a new battery for Christmas so we will have better images up soon.

For now we are getting by with the iPhone. The iPhone is very similar to me as an athlete. I was mediocre at everything. I could play all sports in a competitive way but I didn't excell at any either. The iPhone does the same. It can do hundreds of things but only some of them well. Pictures are viewable but not awesome--for example.

Amelia takes a cuddle with her friend Michael (in the picture). She spent about an hour with this Christmas card picture.
Amelia wearing her sunglasses.

Amelia loves shoes of any kind. These are my mountaineering boots. They weigh about a pound and a 1/2 each so they slowed her down quite a bit.

Amelia never got close enough to Santa for a picture. These are our friends Boyd and Christie and their kids.

Amelia decides what she wants to wear in the house. We are terrified that she does this kind of thing at pre-school. In this one she is our little plumber.
In the next couple days we will have a lot of fun. We saw Grandmother Perkins today, Becky returns from Utah and Grammie finally gets off of school. (While we had a full 2 weeks Bow went 3 extra days.)
Until then....

I, too, am confused...

This is Heidi and I would like to share that I, too, am confused by the previous post by Tom. Random pictures of people with no caption? I can share that he was at a Christmas party this weekend and perhaps he was just trying to share some pictures.... but I do not at this point understand their significance :) Your guess is as good as mine!

After the terror of the reindeer, Amelia needed some Sesame Street time to soothe her nerves. I youtubed 'The Elmo Song,' upon her request, and while watching the video, she would randomly turn to me and say "deer?" I reassured her multiple times that the deer went bye bye before she seemed convinced.
Ameila and Emma are being very silly.
Amelia is reading a story to her very captivated audience, Aunt Becky and Champ.

I know this video is similar to the other 'Sit n' Spin' video, but pay attention to what Mommy does at the end. I (Aunt Becky) find it pretty amusing.
Amelia did NOT like the reindeer decoration at Grammies. Since this posting we made the deer go bye bye.

Amelia's Independence

Amelia does not like to have help with her backpack. Even though it is about as big as she is.
Tonight Heidi was feeling sick so Amelia and I had a date at TGIFridays. There were plenty of seats in the place at 4:40 pm. But it was dark in NH so it felt like a good time to eat dinner.
Amelia tried to jump/bounce on the cushions of the booth and found them to be not bouncy.
