First Day of School 2011!

We had our first day of school on Monday - everybody is back and we're working on finding our groove again. So far it's been great and everyone is happy (although Mom writes this nearly comatose from the couch...) Here are some pictures!

We were a little bored today trapped inside during the "hurricane." So we made this...

amelia was on hose duty and aunt becky was on film duty...

"Are they leaving?"

There's been a request for more blog posts...since it comes from someone who is 41 weeks pregnant and in danger of delivering during a hurricane, I will oblige (lOVE YOU JEN! :))

This picture I took of Amelia after a nice play date she had with one of my cousin's kids (they are twin girls a few months older than her). She did great - they swam, she shared all of her swimming toys, and then they came inside and played some more. After about the two hour mark, though, she lost interest. She plopped herself down in this chair and stared them down. Right before I snapped this picture she looked up at me, and said in her best 14 year old girl voice, "Are they leaving soon?"

We attempted to get a picture of the girls in their matching dresses a few weeks ago. It didn't work out.

I am so glad I started taking pictures of Zoë in this pillow after she was born. I took one every month on or around her month "birthday." Here we have our final picture round up (I think I"ll do this on her birthday every year, though)...

Zoë and Yoda enjoy a morning nap together on the floor. She crawled over to her blanket and fell asleep all by herself...

Amelia, Tom & Yoda went on a special daddy-daughter-dog hike a few weeks ago.

To say that Amelia has been doing a lot of swimming is the understatement of the century. She's in swim lessons and making amazing progress...swimming underwater by herself, making arm movements to do the crawl and floating on her back and tummy with support. I can't believe how much she has learned.
