4 months!

Month 0: July 2010

Month 1: August 2010

Month 2: September 2010

Month 3: October 2010

Month 4: November 2010

Our little Zoë-bear is 4 months old now! She's growing fast and becoming more person-like by the day. In this month she has had her first case of pink eye and her first fever and is also working on her first tooth. Hopefully the second half of this month will be healthier for her! We are looking forward to her first Thanksgiving - and on next Monday I am going back to work. I am both excited and sad, but Zoë has been doing really, really well at her "day home" in the past few days that she has gone.
Funny student moments I have encountered at school in the last few days (I"ve been going in to get some work done ahead of time...) All are true:
1. Student: "Mrs. C!!!! Did you have your baby yet?"
Me: Yes. (what else do I say?)

2. Student: WOW YOU ARE SO MUCH SKINNIER THAN THE LAST TIME I SAW YOU!!!!!!
Me: I would hope so!

3. Student: Is that the baby you were pregnant with when I had you? (THREE YEARS AGO).
Me: (ABSOLUTE OUT LOUD LAUGHTER) No, she is 2 1/2 now.

4. Student: Is that the baby?
Me: No this is just one I've picked up in the parking lot. My real baby is at home.
Student: Really?
Me: No I AM KIDDING.

Zoe is Sick

My hike of Whiteface last Saturday.
Amelia and Becky.

This week Zoe has been under the weather. She had a temperature of 102 at one point and has not been an easy baby for Heidi. I came home from a long day of work last week and Heidi was exhausted. Zoe had cried most of the day and at that point had a rash too. Today has been my day with Zoe and she has not stopped crying for more than a 10 minute stretch. I don't really want to escape by going back to work but if she could just stop for a bit that would be terrific.

What about Zoë?

We saw a lot of Amelia last week - so what has Zoë been up to?

1. Hanging out with Yoda/Carl.

2. Getting baptized wearing the dress made by Grammie that Mommy, Aunt Becky, and Amelia have all worn to their baptisms.

3a. Trying really, really hard to roll over. But not being able to get that darn arm out of the way...

3b. Like I said, she is trying really, really hard...

4. And being super cute!

Amelia Again

I will end my Amelia montage with this cute one that Aunt Becky snapped at Zoë's baptism last Sunday when she was an ANGEL.

Sadly, the holy waters of baptism didn't cure the bugs that would infiltrate our house this week that began on Sunday afternoon: Amelia: a sinus infection & pink eye; Zoë: pink eye; Daddy: flu that did not involve puking; Mommy: flu that DID involve puking. Fun times. We think we're getting better...

Crazy Amelia #4

That's chocolate, not tooth decay.

Crazy Amelia #3

Not sure what this was about - but she hung out under this umbrella on the couch for a good half hour.

Crazy Amelia #1

I have a stockpile of nutty Amelia pictures, so my goal will be to post one per day for this week. This is Photo #1 thoughtfully sent by one of Amelia's teachers

Happy Halloween!

We had a fun Halloween here at crumthekid - Amelia loved getting candy and proclaimed to us that "I am a good candy finder."
Even Spidey has to get strapped in to her carseat... There were lots of spiderman costumes when we were trick or treating, but our Amelia was the only spiderLADY.

Our little flower trick or treats from her car seat.
Then she plays in her exersaucer.

Then she listens ever so attentively to her father as he reads to her from the prayer book in preparation for her baptism.

Then our spider lady crashes on the couch and is protected by her dog, Yoda/Carl.

And Mom and Dad went on a date for the first time since Zoë was born. Fun was had by all!

Wordless Wednesday

An idea I got from another blog - just one photo that emotes a feeling or an idea or whatever... in the case of this week I couldn't choose just one.

A Crumrine Family Tradition...

Faithful blog readers will remember this:

Amelia 2008

And so of course we had to subject Zoë to the same. She was a good sport.

And then Amelia got jealous and wanted to get in the pumpkin, too. Tom had to cut the backside off the pumpkin so she could fit... but she thought it was fun.
And of course we had a family portrait afterwards.
