Sunset

We don't have any recent pictures for you because we can't find our camera charger (again) and the pictures we do take are on Tom's new iPhone and for the life of me I can't figure out how to deal with that...

So, we hope this sunset picture I took this summer at Lake George does the trick for you (I know, not as cute as L'il A). We are at Lake George this weekend to close up shop for the winter and I am always very sad when we do it. I love being here in the Fall - and winter always flies by - but it's hard to leave knowing we won't be back for 8 months or so. But for now, it's beautiful Fall weather, there are lots of colorful leaves, and there hasn't been a boat in sight since we got here. We'll enjoy it while we can (and give a special shout out to our Californian Lake George family who aren't here and without whom it is never the same...)

Today Amelia had her 18 mo. check up with Dr. Tessa and she had definitely taken her cute pills before the visit. She was talking and playing all over the place and showing off her MAD SKILZ. When the nurse came to get us for her weigh in, we said, "Amelia we're going for a walk." She then marched out of the room saying "walk? walk? walk? walk?" all the way down the hallway - but not before running back into the room chanting "ookie ookie ookie" and grabbing her beloved lovey, ookie. She weighed in at 24 1/2 pounds and is 31 inches tall. She did not like her shots but was a brave girl - and my heart broke as I held her down on the table and she just laid there happily looking at me, and then when the shot came she looked up at me like, "WHATTTTT IS WRONG WITH YOU MOMMMY???????" But, as usual, thanks to our super nurse it was very quick and we cuddled together afterwards (me and Amelia, that is, not me and the nurse).

Hopefully we will have some fun pictures from this weekend (take from the iPhone, of course...) ... maybe I'll go old school and go buy a disposable camera :)

I like this picture.

I took this photo early this summer at Lake George and a few weeks ago started playing around with the photo enhancers on the computer. Sorry this doesn't have anything to do with L'il A.

My mom saw it and suggested that my grandfather would tell me to zoom in on what I want to focus on - so I did some cropping and tried to zoom in on the flower. He was right - I like the second one better :)
