This is how Zoë was positioned for much of her time in utero. I always felt her feet in my right ribs and always wondered why she felt so strong - now I know - I was feeling BOTH feet in my ribs. And her little hand was always up by her face. In every ultrasound we could see it, and the day before she was born the doctor could feel her fingers when he did an internal exam on me and told me that for my sake, he hoped she'd move her hand when labor started. I will always appreciate that she did move her hand for her journey out...
