Friday evening Amelia had some surprise visitors from the West. David and Heath flew out from Chicago to surprise Heidi and Amelia. They brought many gifts including a baby Bjorn and Amelia's first American Girl doll. I love the gifts that help me carry Amelia around so the baby Bjorn is one of my favorites, up there with the stroller and backpack that we received at the shower.
David and Heath also brought dinner which was a great gift in itself. As those of you with kids know, the gift of time given through cooking can make things much easier for the parents.
They stayed for the evening and will be back tomorrow before flying back home. A quick visit but a fun one. We enjoyed very much the joy on David's face at holding his first grandchild.
